Irving-based apartment builder JPI has broken ground on a rental community on Dallas North Tollway in Farmers Branch.
The 390-unit Jefferson East Branch is being built on the west side of the tollway just north of the Dallas Galleria. It’s one of three new JPI apartment developments in the same area.
"Farmers Branch has been growing at a rapid pace, and we don’t foresee that slowing down any time soon," Matt Brendel, divisional president and managing partner at JPI, said in a statement. "We want to ensure that the residents of Farmers Branch have the highest-quality multifamily living easily accessible to them, and that’s exactly what Jefferson East Branch will provide.
"Its location, amenities, quality and service — everything will be top of the line."
The complex, just south of Spring Valley Road, will include a two-story fitness center and yoga studio, a resort-style pool and a 2,400-square-foot "sky lounge" on the top floor.
JPI plans to build the 10-acre Jefferson East Branch in two phases. Texas Capital Bank is financing the construction. WDG Architecture, Dement Designs and Kimley-Horn and Associates worked on the design.
JPI opened its Jefferson Landmark apartments in Farmers Branch this summer between the tollway and Inwood Road at 14300 Dallas Parkway. The builder is also constructing its 409-unit Jefferson Alpha West apartments near the southwest corner of Inwood and Alpha Road.
The area around the Galleria in Farmers Branch and Far North Dallas is seeing renewed building activity, with apartments, hotel rooms and offices being built.
JPI is one of North Texas’ busiest apartment builders, with over 5,000 units under construction in the area.
